Alternative Medicine for Wrinkles
67
Most of us don't mind growing older. It sure beats the alternative, but we would all gladly skip the bane of wrinkles. It's really nice to get past all of those horrible insecurities of the teenage years, but it seems we've no sooner cleared that hurdle than the first tiny fine lines begin to form around our eyes and mouths.

Ignoring them doesn't work. We already know that so most of us rush right out to the corner drugstore or the nearest discount department store and buy over-the-counter wrinkle-fighting products. Most of them make us feel better, but they don't do anything at all to stop the wrinkling.
Wrinkles ARE inevitable, but wrinkling can be delayed. The first thing that we can do to PREVENT premature wrinkling is to avoid sunlight between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM (that's when the sun's rays are the strongest). We can wear apply sunscreen liberally and often when our skin is exposed to the sun. We can wear sunglasses to reduce squinting and thus delay "crow's feet" (those lines that radiate out from the corner of the eye).
We can eat a diet that is high in fiber and polyunsaturated and monounsaturated oils. The best diet is one that includes whole grain foods, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and soy. We can use herbal supplements like peppermint, myrrh, jojoba oil, aloe vera, Irish moss, comfry, marigold, lady's mantle, witch hazel, chamomile, lavender, and thyme.
Facial massage helps. Facial massage is done by using a circular motion with gentle pressure applied with the fingertips. Don't stretch the skin with massage. Simply apply enough pressure and stimulate the skin enough to make blood circulation more robust.
Try to avoid repeated facial expressions. You don't want to go through life expressionless, but curtail facial expressions as much as possible.
